It's pure vanity on my part to assume that anyone is particularly interested in some anonymous computer geek going on and on about themselves, but if you are interested, here it is.
- Some facts:
- I was born in 1965. This puts me on the cusp of the "Baby Boomers" and "Generation X". Personally I think the labels are useless, especially in my case, as I fit no known demographic.
- I'm not an Anglo, but I am Caucasian (with some central Asian thrown in).
- I'm slightly more than 5'9" in height.
- I'm a fat guy; I weigh quite a bit more than I should - but I am working on it, for health reasons.
- I'm Jewish - but I'm not at all religious, in fact, I'm an atheist.
- I have very long (waist length), dark brown hair and a thick beard.
- I wear glasses - I'm close to legally blind without them, and I can't get contacts du to recurring corneal problems.
- I often commute on a motorcycle.I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. The combination of these two facts causes people to often think that I'm insane or at least incautious. actually I do it because I love to ride.
- I cuss frequently, though far less than I used to.
- Occasionally, I like to make lots of noise.
- I have been known to purposely destroy cans full of cheap American beer (it's far better than drinking it) with large clublike devices.
- I'm a U.S. Navy veteran.
- I'm considered a very good dancer by most of people I dance with.
- I'm a terrific artist - granted, this is my opinion, but since I actually do know what I'm talking about, you can consider me an expert.
- I'm married - happily, and polyamorously.
- I'm a California native. A Southern California native, in fact. I'm not particularly proud of this fact, it's just one of those things. I've gotten over it, really.
- I have a very large circle of friends.
- I'm not shy.
- I'm bisexual.
- I have a bias against religious fundamentalists. I also have a bias against religious proselytizing and missionary work.
- I adore travel, and do so whenever the opportunity arises.
- I am a gun-owner
- I cannot touch-type very well. Despite this, I am a computer professional. Despite that, I do Windows administration for a living. Given the economic climate, I'm mostly content to keep doing so, but I haven't really gotten past it, though I am an M.C.S.E.
- I read constantly. I also write a lot - much of which can befound in my online journal.
- I enjoy making things. I also enjoy taking things apart.
- I do not have a college degree, despite my best intentions. Maybe someday.
- I know how to juggle - and not just a basic three-ball pattern, either. But I am pretty rusty.
- I collect, and drink, whiskies.
